Board of Directors
Gary Senft
Chair
Gary had a long career practicing law in the financial services sector before retiring. He served on a number of boards, including the Winnipeg Folk Festival and is currently the president of the Manitoba Council for International Cooperation. He is a co-founder and co-chair of the Peace Days Festival and an advisory to the Conflict and Resilience Research Institute Canada.
Sean McManus
Vice-Chair
Sean is a musician and leader in the music community, with an excellent track record for visionary local, regional and national leadership as a voice for the creative sector. He has served on many boards in the creative sector including the Canadian Council of Music Industry Associations, Western Canadian Music Alliance and Manitobans for the Arts. He holds a Bachelor of Music from Brandon University and a Master of Arts in Ethnomusicology from York University.
Sean is currently the Executive Director of the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra.
Scott Baldwin
Scott is an entrepreneur, certified board director (ICD.D) and advisor to boards in a variety of sectors including health and human services, digital media, e-learning and the creative arts industry.
Prior to joining Manitoba Film & Music’s Board of Directors, Scott served for ten years as Vice-Chair of Manitoba Arts Council and is currently a board director for Manitoba Foundation for the Arts.
Carter Chen
Carter Chen has worked in the financial industry for over 18 years and has ten years of board experience.
He is a huge advocate for everything in Manitoba.
Kevin Donnelly
Kevin has enjoyed a lengthy career in the concert and live entertainment industry.
Initially a concert promoter in both Winnipeg and Vancouver, Kevin oversaw concerts in small clubs to large stadiums from Victoria to Winnipeg. Now, as SVP of True North Sports & Entertainment, Kevin oversees all events at the Canada Life Centre and has done so for the past 20 years and going. He also took the reins of the Burton Cummings Theatre 10 years ago.
Meghan Duffy
Meghan has been spending the last fifteen years honing her craft as a creative producer.
She started out by attending a creative communications program specializing in journalism and broadcast production. After graduating, Meghan began on air and doing what she truly loved, producing. She has been a part of some of Canada's largest shows, such as Entertainment Tonight Canada, Dragon's Den, CTV Morning Live, Winnipeg Direct and Breakfast TV. She is currently an Executive Producer at Blackwatch Entertainment.
Debbie Schween
Debbie is Manitoba lawyer who was called to the bar in 2001. She is currently pursuing a Master of Laws (gaming) at the University of Nevada.
The majority of her career has been spent as in house counsel for various entertainment businesses such as CanWest Global, APTN and at the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame. She is currently Vice-President, Legal Affairs (Customer Engagement) at Pollard Banknote Limited.
